Why I'm a "Mormon", but not LDS. Elder oaks, a relative of mine, And what the leadership by and large continues to do in error, are the reasons I no longer attend.
In your current level of spirituality, you might think you are where you need to be. You might mean well in your current understanding. At your current level, you may be exactly where you needed to be in the past. But there is so much more.
You have to search and study your own religion like I have and thousands of other repentant LDS remnant people have done.
The fullness of the Gospel is not found in the church since the 1840s. In D&C the Lord said the fullness of the gospel was not had among the church, and that he needed a place built, with good effort and sacrifice in the time allotted, to get it back. They had an actual prophet among them to do so. Members needed to build and finish the Nauvoo temple with sacrifice and effort, for Him to accept it. Or they would not get the fullness, be rejected, including ordinances starting with baptism for the dead. The Lord stated The church was under condemnation since 1832, and that they did not yet hold the fullness of the gospel. Joseph Smith was trying to do that. And it failed. That's why Joseph was allowed to be assassinated with his brother. The church lost the only prophet they had. Like Israel of Old, losing their Moses. And left with only Aaronic priesthood. Joseph and Moses and others in scripture, held the fullness for themselves. Joseph was trying to get it into the church as a group. It failed miserably. Church was/has been led by those who are no prophets or apostles since. That's why the church has taught false and confusing and contradicting doctrines taught after those days. And horrible murdererous atrocities taken place.
Some members are getting back to the fullness of the gospel. Some lay members are figure out the truth that Joseph never even lived polygamy and was trying to get rid of it out of the church. And the church is casting them out.
Elder (now church Pres) oaks came to Boise, to preach against my repentant LDS friends. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/g0js6xWv6bc?si=gB7h2ndvj4eqIB9Y
I'm so embarrassed he is related to my grandfather, a good man, Arvel Oaks... Because he taught serious false doctrine that goes against the fullness of the gospel. Against the scriptures. Against what Joseph Smith taught. What Moses taught his people. What Jesus was trying to teach his people. And what the Mormon endowment still teaches people to do today through the veil.
Not only do they not hold it, but they preach against it now. That is why I no longer go. I will not support a corrupt organization with my attendance, in such heinous sin/idolatry or the false traditions of my fathers, even when I liked the social environment I had in the church. I liked My friendships there. I like serving others in my church callings. I held leadership and important teaching callings ever since I was six months out on my mission as a young man. Always paid my tithing. Always held a recommend. Did home teaching. I liked going to the temple because I was actually trying to get near the holy of holies near celestial rooms and actually get the fullness of the gospel back for myself. Sad to report that the Lord didn't converse with me, to tell me things about the church organization that I did not want to hear and it broke my heart, until I was in the parking lot, outside of the Idaho Falls Temple after a year of trying in many temples before. And several years prior to that of searching the scriptures and prophecies and everything about the fullness of gospel and priesthood, and how the church failed to build Zion since 2006.
Keep studying. Keep praying. We all have to set aside our preconceived ideas or beliefs. And be fully open like a little child.
The fullness, that light which was lost or not originally obtained by the church, it's beginning to come forth once again. Among the repentant group of LDS. And it is further being rejected and taught against by the LDS church today.
We must repent. All Christian organizations are out of order just says Isaiah prophesied about the last days. The book of Mormon prophesied that a light would come forth among those who would read/publish the book of Mormon in the last days, and it would be rejected. It clearly said about those who would get the book of Mormon, and had the actual opportunity to do so, why did you pollute the holy Church of God? They saw our day. They saw the church rejection in its early days. But They also stated, they IF they repent, they could get it back. That's why the book of Mormon was written. A record written to the people who would receive it and lose the light or the fullness from among them, and their writings would help them get it back one day.
That is happening again. The story at large is sad yes, but the new beginning, the light or the fullness is coming back again, that is wonderful and amazing and exciting to say the least.
You can ignore our history. You can ignore this truth. But you will do so at your own peril. Zion and the second coming is near. And we should know what this prophecies are about who and where are the only people who are protected during the calamities of the wicked fighting the wicked, and those in which heaven will bring before the second coming.
